cerita hijrah

totally just realized that this year maal hijrah coincide with my hijrah. time to move on. i mean the past year was full of endings. here i list down people who passed away during the last year. Long jam, Hafizah, Gary Speed, Socrates, Steve Jobs, Osama Bin Laden, Muammar Gaddafi. ajal maut xmengenal usia dan siapa. kita pn xle jamin kita still akan idup esok kn?

so live life. dont waste time regretting. i mean ask la 4 forgiveness and repent but don't waste time with 'what if...' or 'i should have...'whts done its done. cuz time doesnt wait. if its gone its gone. and hope and aims are essential.

and sometimes, hijrah is necessary. Rasullullah did everything he could and leaves Mecca with a heavy heart but the hijra to Medina was necessary. I also leave becoz it was necessary. otherwise, i would have been eaten up, lose my sense and sanity, and probably inhibit my future growth. what if i didn't went to.

.....

.............

now is not the time 4 'what if'.
now's the time 4 living life to its fullest.

Sick of Malaysian politics

dunno y but after reading the news 2day i really felt sick bout the state of our politics. n i just wish it would stop n go back to the day b4 the political tsunami. yeah, i admit, it was really exciting initially to see the opposition finally got the voice to bash the government and hopefully, keep them in check. but sadly, the opposite had happened. rather than keeping them in check, they used it for personal gains.

i bet nobody knows my true political view to date cuz i seem to be supporting this side at one point and the other at one point. they called people like me lalang la, xda pendirian, bacul. but the truth is, i can't commit to either bcoz none seems any good and the other. (insert political news from 2008 until now)y am i worrying rite now? bcuz i have to vote in the upcoming election.

so, i will be put up to choose against this 3 option:

1) vote for the ruling party.
2) vote for the opposition.
3) abstain/ vote bebas (if any)

while i'm thankful to live in a democratic country and has the right to vote, it's sad that the winner ie; majority tends to ignore the minority when it wins. that's when hatred and grudge boils. look at the result of the last election, the pattern is usually like this. the majority wins by 52%, or 54%. the minority gets only 48% of the votes. 48% usually equivalent to almost 20,000 of people. trouble happen when you ignore 20,000 people in one constituent. due to dissatisfaction or perception that injustice is being served.

in my humble view, what we want is justice. Malaysian are seeded with a high moral value and ideals. That's why you see that people wiling to say bad words, calling names, seek dirty tactics just to uphold the justice that they believe in. now, i'm not gonna say which side holds the true justice bcuz if you really look into it, none is. What i want to say is, with justice, will come economic development, lower the gaps between the rich and the poor, higher purchasing power, reduce unemployment, reduce inflation, reduce corruption, reduce crime rates. I'm not asking for Captain America or Spiderman to come and serve it to us but i believe the politicians can. to bad it seem to be a really big ask for them. why? because they don't want to tolerate or in other words, lose out. lose out on money, shares, influence, votes.

One politician that i know since childhood (sapa lagi kan?) really change with time. What start out as a really noble mission to protect and serve the people, bring development and prosperity upon him embarking in politics has now, turns into a mission to save his and his own decendants own periuk nasi. it's like the noble houseman mission to become the head of department in hope to better the condition of houseman. "Nanti aku jadi specialist/ head of department, aku mesti layan pekerja aku elok-elok" is a famous quote that could be heard in the thoughts of each houseman since the days of dulu-dulu lagi.

since entering the adult world, the theme constantly running thruout is money, cars, home while previously it was fun, and chicks. the constrast was appaling cuz it was like yesterday were talking bout the coolest band and some stupid lame jokes and now it was about investment, insurance and stuff you wont give a damn bout when u awas a student. cuz during student life, you could easily survive a week with rm10 on maggi and ais kosong. but why cant you do so when you entered the adut life? what has changed?

it comes down to these two factors, i think,

1) more commitment. dis one cannot say anything la. mmg betul pun. but, pepel say makin betambah bilangan, rezeki pun makin bertambah.

or

2) more desire. ya la, imagine suddenly you get thousands whilst b4 you only get hundreds. its like dulu2 dapat 20sen g sekolah, so le beli eskem pop or gula2 je. then jd teenager dapat puluh2 so le la nk smart sket, le beli ray ban celup, jam guess celup, then dapat ratus2 le aa angkat enset ada kaler, ringtone pun le men lagu, klu x lagu nokia je kuar. so, with more income > more desire la. can afford what?

dats y i already outline what i want specifically and i'll work to get these stuff. after that i'm content. greed consumes the human in you,you know. nnt xberkesudahan kejar dunia je. get my car? setel. get my crib? setel. done wit ma bucket list? setel.

then, after dat what r u goin to do?, you might ask..well dear, i just gonna play football manager til i die. muahaha

The paradox of angry birds.

yesterday i was playin angry birds and i was fuming mad bcoz of:
i) no matter what i did the blocks wont fall down.
ii) made worse to see the a beat up pig grinning at you. just die already.

i'm sure this just a thing dat everyone playing angry birds exp.

but, today, on my first attempt at the level that i'm stuck yest, without even thinking n just pulling the sling, i managed to clear the level in a single shot. wow.

thus, making me tought of life. our life.

sometimes, no matter how hard you try, the results just wont came.
not that it is our fault for trying though.
n later in the future, things just went smooth without even trying.

i guess it's Allah way of making us learning and enjoying life.
making it more fun, exciting and pleasurable.
to make us realize that we are actually powerless. a nobody.
and that all will and and force, plans and destiny is by his will.
and as easy as He's saying kun fa ya kun.

dats y kite selalu dgr ustat2 ckp, Allah uji tu sebab dia sayang.
if he doesn't, you'll just be a 9-5 rat and people will be chain smoking at your funeral, discussing about the latest cars, or their life instead.

be responsible on what you are responsible of

hadei, 3 days in a row of bad luck. would somebody make me a pot of roasted rabbit's foot soup and give me a four-clover leaf ring. maybe i'm not Irish enuff to get enuff luck. here's a story of keling karam malaysia (kkm).

keling 1:
went to the kakak (who yest told me just to isi the form and MAIL it back. n her peers said, he ALREADY DID that. yeke? hee, terkenyih. seb baik la ko comel) to submit my form. then, as usual she just said put it in the basket. then, i decided to ask sumthing more. ape? bole x speed upkn my form cuz my spa is gonna expired next month. so, it would be a major hassle to go through the interbiuwing process again. dia kate, ape? xperlu la. kita bkn proses sampai setaun, sebulan je. i said, no, u misunderstood. then, xpln again. baru dia kalut pi kt boss die. then, ckp, u silap isi form ni, u patut isi form lain, ni sapa yg suruh isi form nih? ....AKAK LA...ye ke, terkenyih...seb baik la ko comel..sejuk sikit ati aku yg nk panas ni. then, lari to her boss.

keling 2:
determined to rub salt in my wound n misdirect her staff uselessness, she went, haa, sapa suro berenti,,kan dah rugi,,awak xkn dapat sekian2,,n sekian2...like i care...ptt ke org mai mintak tlg, nk songket2 lak..mcm ni la, kata la kita tgh sakit kronik terdampar di hosp, who do you want to be on your side? a) org yg keep on blabbering, haaa, aku dah suro jgn isap rokok, minum arak, adakan hubungan rambang, berkongsi jarum, makan makanan berlemak, berketurunan asia atau caribbean atau african, dll.. or b) org yg keep on motivating and determined to bury the past thru redemption...u decide..then, die ckp oo ni kena g spa balik, schedule balik n isi balik form..while at the same time, never offer a single apology due to her staff incompetence that cost me a month. nvm, i never expect it anyway.

then, i end up in the right place, meet the people, who tell me the right thing to do and hope that everything will be allright. n turns out to be cuter by subjective perception than the initial kakak. idup ni macam roda kan?

Old and Young

What the oldies are thinking:
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/17/nation/8083615&sec=nation

not my prob la. aku da nk pencen ni.stop bugging me. i'm gonna solve this as fast as i can then chow to Canada/HK/Australia with my brand new yacht.gotta keep my cv clean.care to have any long-term vison mate? doubt it.

What the youngsters are thinking:
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/3/focus/7918678&sec=focus
make sense? no? does this shows dat kite ni lembik? i 2nd this however. not because i dont want to suffer but becoz it actually does make sense. guess we have to do big protest Egypt-style to be heard eh? but no. mane ade masa. with ever-gripping fear of extension2.

like this la, docs are a very selfish lot. xtipu. bocz i still care that i took the road that not been taken. so, b4 this, most of the oldies are like the youngster. then, they naik pangkat. due to their selfish nature,( we'll they have to, otherwise they cannot climb up this high) they forgotten how it was before and couldnt care less bout the underlings as long as their wealth and status are guaranteed. sorry for the strong statement but sadly, its true. not pointing fingers to docs only cuz other profession pun like this.

so, to think liow tong lai would give a damn bout what that h.o wrote would be like waiting for a cat to grow horns and stop miowing nuisancely every nite. n the h.o would be like, wait till i'm the specialist/h.o.d/health minister i'm gonna change all this. but, corrupted by the system b4 he/she gets there, he/she forgets and innate nature kicks in which is selfishness. most doc/specialist would give you the similar story. wishing and waiting for the system to change since 30 years ago. y hasnt it changed? bcoz thy too jaga kain sendiri and would care bout others, as long as their wealth and status are guaranteed and preserved.

sad sad sad.oh my beloved country..n it all stems to our 3rd world mentality.

not all ya,some only.takut woo nk blog pelik2 la ni, nnt kena tangkap free2. but again, i have nothing, and nobody reads this friggin blog nwy, so, be my guest..

Books does lie

in case u havent know it, the biggest story in football today is the transfer of Fernando Torres from Liverpool to Chelsea for 50 mil pounds. While it is not met with much enthusiasm by Liverpool fans, his decision is completely understandable...from a football perspective that is..i mean, a move to a football club that is constantly challenging for the EPL and the UCL, also with a bigger remuneration package. He won everything at international football and now it's time for club honors.

It's a similar case when he left Atleti. Goin to a bigger club, gunning for trophies. Then, Rafa left, n i guess he doesn't see that the club is goin forward anymore, with the boardroom turmoil and all. Best of luck at Chelsea then n probably he'll have to wait till next year cuz Arsenal is gonna win the League and FA cup, Man U is gonna win the league and Barcelona is gonna win the UCL. I really think he should go to Barca though, if he really wanna move. Sadly, Barca already had Villa, and goin to Real would be the greatest sin he'll ever commit in his life.

Now, I'm an Arsenal but i really have a great affection for Torres. Not only he's a superb footballer with his darting runs, silky moves, and precise finishing, but also as a person. He's not the Cristiano type who cannot live with out a camera focusing at him. He's just, like,... one of us, i could say. This had led be to buy his book, and I never buy a footballer autobiography before. just read from kududan or wiki. So, his story is really intriguing and really been an inspiration to me on how to adapt. and the theme of the book is constantly, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty..to Atleti, to Liverpool.. that what makes me respect him so much...he talks about his desire to be a one-man team like Raul, Maldini, Totti..and how's Liverpool fans is the greatest in the world (this point is sumtin I agree with, its really like a graveyard at the Emirates).

well, guess what mate? you just betrayed the greates fans in the world. can u imagine pledging your loyalty to sumbody for years and then, left them, when they not achiving..that's hypocrisy! not loyalty. you know why people like Raul and Totti gain so much respect in the footballing world? They stick with their team through thick and thin. Raul's been there when the club at it's greastest and lowest and so did Totti. u think how many times Totti contemplated with the idea of goin to Milan or Juve to win the UCL? but hell no, he has his dignity and pride. His skin would burn if he was ever to wear another team shirt. What happen to worms who betrayed their club to seek glory? i can give u 3 different example:

1) Michael Owen. go to biggest club in the world and had been on a downward spiral ever since. read his auto also ahaha.

2) Monkey Cole. yeah, he wins trophies and stuff but as a human, he lost his value. Nobody likes him at all and he's gonna die a sad man cuz he also betrayed his wife afterwards.

3) Luis Figo. Despised by both sets of barca, madrid tried to embrace him, but they love zinade more.

u see, medals do matter, but the value of the medal is more important..Djimi Traore had a UCL medal but do people remember him? heck, no! u gonna look at ur medal when ur old and say, this is how i won this and this. so, if u won it in an honorable way, ull be proud to tell ur story every single time. if not, u r goin 2 b so ashamed of ur self dat the medal is goin to the attic or e-bay.

for now, i'm soo done with autobiographies..i'm gonna read them when they retire..n see what bipolar-alcoholic-cirrhotic developed Monkey Cole would write then.

Lost and found

i went to see a play last sat with the above title. it's a story bout whats lost in life. its good, no bull, but i really haven't got the found part. whether it's not there or my right side brain is unsynapsing, i dunno. the part where it made me think the most was, this;

Mr A (i forgot the name) works for the gov, later got sent to sabah for 2 years and leaving his family behind. then, wanting to be with his family, he quits his gov post, and decided to work in the private sector. then, as his career grows, he have to work around the clock to make ends meet. again, he become more disconnected with his son. until, he was like, 40 or 50, he decided to start his own business to have more free time with his family. but, his business went bust and he made several attempt to start a couple of business but all were unsuccessful. now, in his retirement age, he had no pension, all his saving are spent towards his business, and his son doesn't love him claiming he was never there for him.

the story is more or less goes like that.

so, point to ponder..
i) all that he's been doing is for his family. but, why the ending has to be like that?
ii) feel any eerie similarity? i work like hell plus OT some more but my children don't know me? like the old people saying, money can't buy hapiness, aint it?
iii) but, if i don't work, who's gonna foot the bills? food?
iv)does the son is right in doing so? i mean, yeah, he's deprived of love but then, the father is the one providing food, clothes, shelter to him until he grows up.
v) u know what. i bet that this is everybody's dilemma. but, here's a story, i have a friend, live in the kaya part of ampang with a huge comfortable house but seldom sees his pa bcoz the pa always works overseas. but he still loves his pa, though sometimes he do feel sad bout it, but hey, he UNDERSTANDS....i think, its the understanding part that make the difference..

some people just can't understand. but, they are not wrong as well. i mean, when grow up, which kinda memory stick to u and made u feel warm? ur father taking u to the playround or seeing a huge 40 inch LCD TV in da houz? again, from personal exp, i can tell that it's the former. having lost my father since i was a kid, i always remember these stuff about my father:
i) his smell
ii) his smile
iii) his dance to the Hindustan tune
iv) the day he present me my prize during my tadika sports day
v) the day he came to pick up at school one day. i take the bus everyday.
vi) every evening he always take me in our proton jalan2 n he always stop at this one shop, give me seringgit, and told me buy any drinks i want. i never forgot the blue schweppes i bought.
vii) the sound of your father car coming home. (ahahaa, sorry mr.kevin, i stole ur line)

now, how many millions did my dad spent? to have his smell. to have his smile. to dance to the hindustan tune.

that's why u can see anak orang susah2 lebih cherish their parents more compare to anak2 orang kaya. not all, but mostly.so parents, do not fall into the false pretense that giving=loving.

god, i miss my dad so freaking much.

other story in the play is a son losing touch with his father even though he take care of his father everyday but he's father loves his grandchild more. i think the message here is, while indeed your father or mother need care in their later years, it is the love and attention that they need more.

que my mom....taradaatatttata..now, the tone of nag has changed to why don't you more time to spent with me..adoi...like the old people saying, diluah mati mak, ditelan mati bapak.ahaha..

its been a while since i had seen a play. great story, although some parts feels a bit rushed. great acting, some showed their inexperincedity (is this a valid word? haha) but hey, effort wise, top class. the delivery techniques is fresh and engaging to the audience as well. shows that u dont need fancy pancy props to come out with a great show.

byk gile aku tulis arinih..ada bakat jadi writer x? huhu..k, chow lu.
